During the seed to sale process, samples are susceptible to foreign substance contamination from a number of external factors. Foreign matter contamination is more prevalent during the later stages of product development. Visual inspections by cultivators and manufacturers are highly encouraged to be done regularly prior to sample analysis.
What is Foreign Matter?
The California Department of Cannabis Control mandates the samples must be free from sand, soil, cinders, mold and insect fragments.
How We Test for Foreign Matter
We follow industry standard protocols by visual inspection on all new samples prior to analysis. Testing is executed by a visual inspection of product exterior and interior using a microscope.
